When gathered together, we find our light.
As each spark shifts and multiplies,
Scattering its radiance on our ordinary lives
Like everything precious, before a given diagnosis
Or a recovering moment we hide behind forged smiles,
fancy garments, flawless makeup,
Isn’t it more valuable when shared?
Like every common miracle
Made of the effects of stars.
We must let the light shine
And then watch out for it falling too
On each other’s faces
During trials and triumphant
So, count the beams, yeah catch them
Reflect upon them
See the HOPE, live the promise.
Never hide your face in a setback
Keep looking up child,
Never hide your fear in silence.
Listen to those you cherish,
Hold them in your arms,
Let them hear your heartbeat
Tell your truth with tears
Tell your story with laughter
Tell your love with joy
Show the world, You are still greater than cancer!

Your healing is permanent, your hidden scars are your outward strength of victory!
What they say, that ain’t true or right.. isn’t it bittersweet in their lives now?
Look who’s talking now!

Your words here really touched me, you just reflected the struggles that comes with cancer survivors. Even though they say you are cancer free, the struggles of the medications, constant checking for any growth, hormones imbalance, body changes after chemo or radiation it is endless…
But waking up everyday, seeing my 3 year old baby and husband gives me hope to keep going through therapy, for them and then for me.
The heaviness and emotional torture of insensitive comments from people around you, sometimes has to ignored just for the miracle started can be completed.
Look up Girl! We all beat cancer like a drum!!
Counting down to your book launching, see you soon for the documentary.
